Written by Jerry Ratzlaff. Posted in Algebra

A postulate is a statement that is assumed true without proof.

 Let \(\;a\; \) , \(\;b\; \) and \(\;c\; \) be real numbers.

  • If \(\;a = b\; \) , then \(\;a\; \) can be substituted for \(\;b\; \) in any expression.
