A sector is a fraction of the area of a circle.

\( A =  \frac { \theta } { 360 } \pi r^2  \;\;  \)  (when \(\; \theta \;\) is in degrees)

\( A =  \frac { \theta } { 2 } r^2   \;\;  \)   (when \(\; \theta \;\) is in radians)

\( A =  \frac { \theta \; \pi } { 360 }  r^2  \;\;  \)   (when \(\; \theta \;\) is in degrees)

Where:

\(A\) = area

\(\pi\) = Pi

\(r\) = radius

\(\theta\) = angle
