Efficiency

Efficiency is expressed in percentage and always less than 100%.

formula

\(\eta =  \frac {W_o} {W_i} 100percent \)

\(\eta =  \frac {E_o} {E_i} 100percent \)

Where:

\(\eta\) = efficiency

\(W_i\) = input work

\(W_o\) = output work

\(E_i\) = input energy

\(E_o\) = output energy
