Escape Velocity

Escape velocity is the minimum velocity required to leave a object (planet or moon).

\(v_e =  \sqrt {    \frac{2Gm}{r}    }   \) 

Where:

\(v_e\) = escape velocity

\(G\) = universal gravitational constant

\(m\) = mass of object {planet or moon}

\(r\) = radius of object (planet or moon)
