Escape velocity is the minimum velocity required to leave a object (planet or moon).

Where:

$$v_e$$ = escape velocity

$$G$$ = universal gravitational constant

$$m$$ = mass of object {planet or moon}

$$r$$ = radius of object (planet or moon)
