Power with Velocity

Written by Jerry Ratzlaff. Posted in Properties

Power is the rate of doing work or the rate of using energy per unit time.

Abbreviated as \(P\) or \(P_v\)

formula

\(P = F   v \)

Where:

\(P\) = power

\(F\) = force

\(v\) = velocity

Solve for:

\(F =\frac {P}{v} \;\)

\(v =\frac {P}{F} \;\)
