Bodenstein Number

Bodenstein number, abbreviated Bo, is a dimensionless number which is used in mass transfer and diffusion in reactors calculations in particular. The equations to calculate the Bodenstein Number are below.

\(\large{ Bo }\) = Bodenstein number

\(\large{ D_a }\) = effective axial diffusivity

\(\large{ l }\) = reaction length

\(\large{ v }\) = velocity
