Elastic Potential Energy

Elastic potential energy is the energy stored in objects as the result of deformation, such as a spring when stretching or compressing.

Where:

\(\large{ PE }\) or \(\large{ E_p }\) = elastic potential energy

\(\large{ k }\) = spring constant

\(\large{ x }\) = length or displacement
