# Compressibility

Compressibility, abbreviated as \(\beta \) (Greek symbol beta), also known as coefficient of compressibility, measures the change in volume under external forces for any liquid.

\(\large{ \beta = \frac{1}{K} }\)

Where:

\(\large{ \beta }\) (Greek symbol beta) = compressibility

\(\large{ K }\) = bulk modulus

\(\large{ \partial p }\) = pressure (the rate of change)

\(\large{ V }\) = volume

\(\large{ \partial V }\) = volume (the rate of change)
