Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS)

Officially founded in 1924, the Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS) of the Valve and Fittings Industry is a non-profit technical association organized for development and improvement of industry, national and international codes and standards for: Valves, Valve Actuators, Valve Modification, Pipe Fittings, Pipe Hangers, Pipe Supports, Flanges and Associated Seals.

MSS Valve and Fitting Standards are in use around the world in a wide variety of facilities, including Nuclear Power Plants, and in virtually every industry, from Waste Water to Oil Refining. MSS currently includes 108 Member Companies that work in 25 Technical Committees to develop and maintain standards that shape the way flow is controlled. MSS is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-accredited standards developer.
