# Permeability Coefficient

Permeability Coefficient, abbreviated as K, also called coefficient of permeability, is the measure of how much water can easily flow through the soil.

## Permeability Coefficient formula

\(\large{ k = n \; v }\) |

### Where:

\(\large{ k } \) = permeability coefficient

\(\large{ n } \) = porosity

\(\large{ v } \) = velocity of water flowing through pores
