# Dynamic Pressure

Dynamic pressure, abbreviated as q or Q, also known as velocity pressure, is the amount of total pressure resulting from the media velocity.

## Dynamic Pressure formulas

\(\large{ q = \frac {1} {2}\; \rho\; v^2 }\) | |

\(\large{ q = \frac {\rho\; v^2} {2} }\) |

### Where:

\(\large{ q }\) = dynamic pressure

\(\large{ \rho }\) (Greek symbol rho) = density of fluid

\(\large{ v }\) = velocity of fluid
