Where:

\(\large{ S }\) = temperature change stress

\(\large{ E }\) = short term modulus of elasticity

\(\large{ \alpha }\) = thermal expansion coefficient

\(\large{ \Delta T }\) = temperature change

Solve for:

\(\large{ E = \frac { S }   { \alpha \; \Delta T }   }\)

\(\large{ \alpha = \frac { S }   { E \; \Delta T }   }\)

\(\large{ \Delta T = \frac { S }   { E \; \alpha }   }\)
