Richardson number, abbreviated as Ri, a dimensionless number, is the ratio of the buoyancy term to the flow shear term.

Richardson Number formula

\(\large{ f = \frac{ Gr }{ Re^2 }  }\)

\(\large{ Ri }\) = Richardson number

\(\large{ Gr }\) = Grashof number

\(\large{ Re }\) = Reynolds number
