Where:

\(\large{ \Theta }\)  (Greek symbol Theta) = normalized water content

\(\large{ \theta_r }\)  (Greek symbol theta) = residual water content

\(\large{ \theta_s }\)  (Greek symbol theta) = saturated water content

\(\large{ \theta }\)  (Greek symbol theta) = volumetric water content
