Performance

Written by Jerry Ratzlaff on . Posted in Manufacturing Engineering

Performance, abbreviated as P, is anything that causes the manufacturing process to run at less than maximum possible speed.

Performance Formula

\(\large{ P = \frac{ CT \; TC }{ RT }  }\)
\(\large{ P = \frac{ TC \; RT }{ RR }  }\)

Where:

\(\large{ P }\) = performance

\(\large{ CT }\) = ideal cycle time

\(\large{ RR }\) = ideal run rate

\(\large{ RT }\) = run time

\(\large{ TC }\) = total count
