Underwater Pressure

Written by Jerry Ratzlaff on . Posted in Fluid Dynamics

Underwater pressure, abbreviated as \(p_u\), is the added pressure exerted underwater directly above a spot at the water level.

Underwater Pressure formula

\(\large{ p_u = 1025 \; g\; d  }\)

Where:

\(\large{ p_u }\) = underwater pressure

\(\large{ g }\) = gravitational acceleration

\(\large{ d }\) = depth under water
