Voltage Coefficient of Resistance

Voltage coefficient of resistance, abbreviated as VC, is the change in resistance with applied voltage.

 

Voltage Coefficient of Resistance formula

\(\large{ VC = \frac { 100 \; \left( R_1 \;-\; R_2 \right)  }{ R_2 \; \left( V_1 \;-\; V_2 \right)  } }\)   

Where:

\(\large{ VC }\) = voltage coefficient of resistance

\(\large{ R_1 }\) = resistance at the rated voltage \( V_1 \)

\(\large{ R_2 }\) = resistance at 10% of rated voltage \( V_2 \)
