Clean Steam

on . Posted in Thermodynamics

Clean steam refers to steam that is generated from pure water, free from contaminants and impurities.  It is commonly used in industries where the quality of steam is critical for specific applications, such as in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food and beverage, healthcare, and semiconductor industries.

Clean steam offers several advantages in applications where the presence of contaminants could compromise product quality, safety, or performance.  Some common uses of clean steam include sterilization, humidification in cleanrooms, direct contact with pharmaceutical products or medical devices, and critical processes in the food and beverage industry.

It's important to note that clean steam is different from culinary steam, which is commonly used in non-critical applications such as heating, cooking, or general purpose steam applications.  Culinary steam may contain small amounts of impurities that are acceptable for those less sensitive applications.
