• FCS - forged carbon steel

A threaded pipe fitting is one where the pipe is threaded into a recessed area of the fitting. To make a threaded fitting, a threaded connection is cut into the pipe and the fitting.  Typically, the male end of the thread is attributed to the pipe and the female end is the fitting.
